Big accident in Iran amid the sound of war: Army helicopter crashes, 4 killed, debris and fire scattered in nuclear city
New Delhi: Another painful accident has come to light amidst the tense war environment in Iran. An Iranian military helicopter crashed into a fruit-vegetable wholesale market in Isfahan province, killing at least four people. The pilot, co-pilot and two market traders were killed in the accident. The incident took place in Isfahan province, known for its nuclear facilities, where the spread of debris created chaos in the area.
This helicopter of the Iranian Army’s aviation unit was on a training mission. According to the media, some technical fault was the main reason for this accident. Such accidents happening continuously in Iran are exposing the problems of the country’s old aviation fleet and maintenance.
How did the helicopter crash?
Media reported that the helicopter belonged to an aviation unit of the Iranian Army and it crashed in the fruit and vegetable market area of Darcheh city in Khomeini Shahr County of Isfahan province. According to the agency, the cause of the crash was a technical glitch. Apart from the pilot and co-pilot, two market traders were also killed in this incident.
