Big action by CM Samrat, gave strict instructions to officials in high-level meeting

Patna. The government has adopted a strict stance regarding road and bridge projects in Bihar. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary gave a clear message to the officials in the high-level review meeting of the Road Construction Department that delay in development projects, lack of quality and ignoring safety standards will not be tolerated under any circumstances. In the meeting, the progress of ongoing road and bridge construction schemes across the state was reviewed in detail.

Quality roads priority of government

The Chief Minister said that better road connectivity is the backbone of the development of any state. Therefore, it is the priority of the government to provide safe, easy and modern road facilities to the common people. He directed the officials to regularly monitor the construction works and ensure that every project is completed as per the set standards. He also said that there should be no negligence in the maintenance of roads and bridges, because only with better maintenance the quality of the projects remains for a long time.

All projects should be completed within the deadline

During the meeting, the Chief Minister paid special attention to the progress of pending and under construction projects. He directed the officials that all the projects should be completed within the stipulated time frame. Emphasis was also laid on keeping the financial management strong so that the pace of any scheme is not affected due to lack of funds. The Chief Minister said that unnecessary delay in development works causes problems to the public, hence it is necessary to pay special attention to timely implementation.

There will be special monitoring of the state’s bridges

An important discussion was also held in the review meeting regarding the safety of the state’s bridges. The Chief Minister directed that all bridges should be regularly inspected and safety audits should be conducted from time to time through expert agencies. He said that any potential threat should be identified in advance so that necessary corrective steps can be taken in time. Special responsibility was assigned to the officers to ensure strict adherence to safety standards.

Special focus on Ganga Path Project

The progress of the important Ganga Path project of Eastern Bihar was also reviewed in the meeting. The Chief Minister directed the officials to take the project forward at a fast pace so that the connectivity of the area can be further strengthened. He said that the completion of this project will not only make transportation easier but will also give new impetus to trade, industry and tourism activities. This is expected to provide a significant boost to regional development.

There will be no negligence in development work

The Chief Minister said in clear words that no compromise with the quality and safety of development projects will be accepted. He asked the officials to act with accountability and ensure progress of projects through regular reviews.
