According to DCP South Nipun Aggarwal, accurate information was received from the informer that the accused was about to leave from Defense Expo Ground Sector-15 Canal Road. The police team immediately laid siege. Seeing himself surrounded by the police, the vicious accused Arjun Rawat, instead of surrendering, started firing at the police team with his pistol. The police also retaliated in self-defense, in which a bullet hit the miscreant’s leg and he fell along with the bike.

Recovery and black diary of the accused

Police have recovered the looted Realme mobile, Pulsar 125 bike used in the crime, an illegal .315 bore pistol, cartridges and Rs 1200 in cash from the accused. Police investigation has revealed that Arjun Rawat alias Gangadhar is a habitual criminal and 7 serious cases are already registered against him in various police stations.

Raids in search of absconding associates

DCP Southern said that the identity of the accused was confirmed with the help of CCTV footage and technical surveillance. Important clues have also been found about other members of this gang and absconding associates, for whose arrest police teams are continuously raiding. This entire network will be revealed soon.
