The police, showing proactivity, arrested an accused and recovered 15 grams of illegally kept smack from his possession. This action has created panic among drug dealers in the area. Meanwhile, the police spotted a suspicious person, whose activities appeared suspicious and the police stopped him and interrogated him. Upon search, 15 grams of smack was recovered from him.
The arrested accused has been identified as Raju alias Ravindra Kumar Upadhyay, son of Sahdev, resident of village Phallu Pandey Majre, Mahona Purba police station, Bazar Shukla district, Amethi, whose age is said to be around 30 years. Legal action has been initiated by the police after taking possession of the recovered drug. According to police officials, further legal process is being completed by registering a case against the arrested accused under relevant sections.
