Big action by RPF in Howrah, 72 lakh cash and dollars recovered from two youths.

West Bengal: A major action has come to light from Howrah before the West Bengal Assembly elections. Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested two suspicious youths during investigation, from whom cash and foreign currency worth about Rs 72 lakh has been recovered. This action was taken by the team of Bamangachhi RPF post on April 15 during a routine investigation.

Who are the accused?

RPF stopped two youths in suspicious condition near Banaras Bridge near Bamangachhi Yard. During interrogation, they were identified as Ashish Seth (39) and Sumit Verma (23), who are said to be residents of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

West Bengal: Big recovery of cash and dollars

During investigation, Rs 32,03,900 in Indian currency and 43,000 US dollars (about Rs 40 lakh) were recovered from his bag. In this way, the total amount has been estimated at Rs 72,06,340, which is considered to be a huge amount.

West Bengal: Arrested while getting off the train

According to the information, both the youths were seen getting down from train number 12334 Down Vibhuti Express in a suspicious manner. On this basis, RPF detained him and searched him and this huge amount of money was recovered.

Case handed over to Income Tax Department

Considering the seriousness of the matter, information was immediately given to the Income Tax Department, Alipore. After this, the Income Tax officials have taken over the investigation and now the entire matter is being investigated.

West Bengal: RPF Howrah Division says that the team is constantly on alert to maintain security and prevent illegal activities in the railway premises. For now, further progress in this matter of Investigation is ongoing.
