Big action by UP STF and Agra Police, notorious criminal Pawan alias Kallu injured in encounter, dies

Lucknow, 28 February. Notorious bounty hunter Pawan alias Kallu has been killed in the action of the joint team of Uttar Pradesh STF’s Noida Unit and Agra Police. On February 27, 2026, a joint team of STF Noida Unit and Agra Police carried out a major action in Police Station Ekta area and arrested a notorious criminal with a reward who was injured in an encounter. The miscreant was seriously injured during the encounter and was immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment.

However his life could not be saved. Pawan alias Kallu died in the hospital. The miscreant has been identified as Pawan alias Kallu, son of Santram, resident of Sirauli, police station Loni, district Ghaziabad. Pawan was wanted in a case of extortion registered in Tajganj police station of Agra Commissionerate and a reward of Rs 50 thousand was announced on him. According to the police, Pawan was an active shooter of the notorious Randeep Bhati – Amit Kasana gang identified by the government. A total of more than 18 criminal cases are registered against him, including four of murder and two of extortion.

According to police records, a reward of Rs 1 lakh was also announced on him in a murder case in the year 2021. At that time he was arrested from Delhi and sent to jail. During his stay in jail, he came in contact with the notorious Himanshu Bhau gang of Haryana. After being released from jail in the year 2025, he started demanding extortion on a large scale. Police suspect that he was planning to commit major crimes in Delhi and Western Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with this gang.

During the encounter, a huge quantity of cartridges and weapons were recovered from the miscreant. The special thing is that the 9 mm pistol recovered from the spot was looted from a constable Monu Dhiman in Bisarkh police station, Gautam Buddha Nagar area in the year 2016. At that time the constable was posted on PSO duty of ADJ. In this regard, a case has been registered in Bisrakh police station under case number 247/16, section 279/337/392/427 IPC.
