Big action in cold storage accident: 12 including former minister booked for murder, four laborers died

Bureau Prayagraj- After the horrific accident that took place at Adarsh ​​Cold Storage located in Phaphamau police station area, the police has taken a strict stance and taken major action. In this case, a case has been registered against 12 people including cold storage owner Ansar Ahmed, a former minister in the Samajwadi Party government, under serious sections including murder. According to the police, the accused include cold storage manager Usman, close to the former minister Aslam Baba, Manzoor, Alauddin, Javed, Mohammad Irfan and five unidentified people. All the accused are said to be residents of Chandrapur, Phaphamau.

There was a stir due to ammonia tank explosion

On Monday, the entire building collapsed after the ammonia tank at Adarsh ​​Cold Storage burst. Four laborers died on the spot in the accident, while 17 others were seriously injured. The injured are being treated in various hospitals. Among the deceased, three laborers were residents of Bihar, due to which there is mourning in their families.

Negligence and chaos exposed: Serious allegations have been made against the cold storage management in the FIR. The investigation revealed that:

– Workers were not given any kind of safety training

– The building was in a dilapidated condition

– No technical expert was present for repair and monitoring

– Safety standards were completely ignored

– Profiteering was being done by filling goods beyond capacity.

These carelessness together gave birth to this painful accident. Police investigation intensified, many detained. Police has started investigation after the case registered on the complaint of Inspector Kabod Singh of Phaphamau police station. Some named accused are being detained and interrogated. ACP Tharvai Arun Parashar said that the matter is being thoroughly investigated and strict action will be taken against the culprits.

Relief and rescue operations continued on the second day of the incident. The effect of ammonia gas spread to the surrounding areas, due to which the local people are in panic. Meanwhile, some people were also seen taking out potatoes from the cold storage, on which the administration has shown strictness. Police and administration teams are investigating the entire matter from every aspect. This accident has emerged as a big example of not only the negligence of the management but also ignoring the safety standards.
