Big action in KGMU Love Jihad case: Crackdown on accused Dr. Rameez, non-bailable warrant issued… raids in these states

Lucknow:​ The troubles of resident doctor Rameezuddin Naik alias Rameez Malik, accused of sexual exploitation and pressure for forced conversion at King George’s Medical University, have increased. The district court has issued a non-bailable warrant against the accused on the application of the police. After CM Yogi gave strict instructions to arrest the doctor, 5 police teams are investigating in different districts of 2 states.

The court gave these strict orders: ​After 15 days of failure of the police, the court has taken a tough stand. If Rameez is not arrested soon, the police will start the process of confiscating his property. The victim’s statement was recorded before the magistrate on Thursday. According to sources, the victim has completely reiterated the allegations of sexual exploitation and pressure for conversion made in the FIR.

Accused constantly changing location: According to Inspector Chowk Nagesh Upadhyay, Rameez is constantly changing his location by switching off his mobile. Police is raiding these areas Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Bareilly and Shahjahanpur, Khatima, Nanakmatta, Banbasa and Tanakpur. The police is now also monitoring the mobile phones of Rameez’s close friends and relatives through surveillance.

The victim got assurance of justice from CM Yogi: ​On Wednesday, the victim along with her mother met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. After listening to the ordeal of the victim, the CM gave clear instructions to the police officers that the accused doctor should be found and brought back from hell under any circumstances. There is a stir in the university administration after the news of the meeting with the CM.

This was the whole matter: Dr. Rameez Malik, a resident posted in the Pathology Department of KGMU, was accused by the female resident doctor of sexual exploitation and religious conversion on the pretext of marriage. The allegation was that Rameez had refused to marry because he did not convert. Fed up with this, the female doctor had tried to commit suicide. The victim is a resident of West Bengal. She had given a written complaint at Chowk Kotwali that she had come in contact with Dr. Rameez in July. Her allegation was that Dr. Rameez had exploited her for several months on the pretext of marriage. The police had registered a case against Dr. Rameez. ​The victim female doctor from West Bengal had alleged that Dr. Rameez had earlier also converted a Hindu female doctor and married her, who is currently posted in a hospital in Noida.

A five-member team was formed: In the Love Jihad case of KGMU, the Vice Chancellor of the institute, Prof. Sonia Nityananda had given instructions for investigation. Last Friday, the Vice Chancellor had constituted a five-member team to investigate the matter. The team has sent the investigation report of the case to the Women’s Commission. The Vice Chancellor had written in the order that the Medical University has formed a team to investigate the helpers of the accused Dr. Rameezuddin Nayak alias Rameez Malik. A new investigation team has been formed to find out the truth of the entire matter. This team will prepare and submit the report in seven days.
