Big action of Crime Branch against drugs in Bhopal, two accused arrested with about half a kilo of hashish.

Bhopal: Bhopal Crime Branch’s action against drug dealers is continuing in the capital. In this series, the police arrested two smugglers from Govindpura area and recovered about half a kilo of hashish from their possession. The value of the seized charas is said to be around Rs 1.5 lakh.

According to the police, both the accused were waiting for a customer to sell them the drug. The crime branch had received accurate information about this from the informer.

The deal was going on in ruins

The Crime Branch had received information that two youths were trying to sell illegal drugs in a ruin near TIT Ground in Govindpura. Based on the information, the team immediately reached the spot and laid siege and arrested both the suspects. Upon search, 495 grams of hashish and two mobile phones were recovered from them.

Both the accused are old criminals

Police said that the arrested accused are habitual criminals and crimes have already been registered against them under NDPS Act and other serious cases. According to the police, after coming out on bail, he again became active in the drug trade. At present, a case has been registered against the accused under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act. The police have now started searching for other people associated with this network and the seized mobile phones are also being examined so that the entire gang can be exposed.
