Big action of Yamuna Authority: 70,240 square meter land encroachment free, land worth Rs 350 crore saved
Greater Noida/Jewar, March 17, 2026: Yamuna Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), taking major action against encroachment, freed about 70,240 square meters of land in village Dayanatpur. The estimated value of this land is said to be around Rs 350 crore. This action was taken on the instructions of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shri Rakesh Kumar Singh. The campaign was led by Additional Chief Executive Officer Mr. Rajesh Kumar, while the entire team jointly conducted the campaign under the guidance of Special Executive Officer Mr. Shailendra Singh. The team of Revenue Department and authority including Deputy Collector Mr. Krishna Gopal Tripathi, Mr. Abhishek Shahi, Mr. Hari Pratap Singh and Tehsildar Mr. Manoj Kumar Singh were involved in the action.
Bulldozer runs on illegal encroachments
The authority team found that the land was illegally purchased by outsiders and occupied by building a boundary wall. By removing all these illegal constructions, the land was again taken into the possession of the authority.
Action on Jewar airport connectivity also
During this period, important sectors related to Jewar Airport and 60 meter road, which is very important from the point of view of connectivity, were also freed from encroachment.
Action will continue further
The authority has made it clear that any kind of illegal occupation or construction in the notified area will not be tolerated and such action will continue in future also.
