Big action on gas black marketing in Delhi, sale stopped from warehouse, 5KG cylinder system implemented for the poor.

Delhi government has issued a new order to curb black marketing of gas and provide relief to poor labourers. Under this order, selling of cylinders directly from gas warehouses has now been banned. The government says that this will eliminate the role of middlemen and gas will reach the needy people at the right price.

To know the ground reality of this order, ABP News team reached the gas warehouse of Indian Oil Corporation located at Rajghat. It was seen here that the instructions of the government are being followed. There was sufficient stock of cylinders inside the warehouse and the system was running systematically.

Gas warehouse manager Yogesh Singh said that now the sale of cylinders directly from the warehouse has been completely stopped. He said that as per the government orders, now cylinders are being given only through home delivery. This will stop black marketing.

However, he also clarified that 5 kg domestic and commercial cylinders are available. The customers who are booking are being given delivery on time. In some cases, refill cylinders are also being given to needy people from the warehouse, but this is being done completely as per the rules.

Yogesh Singh said that earlier a 5 kg cylinder was available for around Rs 200, but now its price has increased to Rs 349. Despite this, there is no shortage of any kind in supply. He said that we have sufficient gas stock. Whatever booking is coming, its 100 percent delivery is being done.

This step of the government has been taken especially keeping in mind the poor laborers, so that they can get small capacity cylinders easily and at the right price. Besides, this will also put a stop to those selling gas illegally.
