Big announcement by Iranian Army amidst President Trump’s claim that ‘the fight will continue till victory’
New Delhi: Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East, Iran’s army has made a big announcement on Tuesday. The top command of the Iranian armed forces said that the fighting will continue until complete victory is achieved. Major General Ali Abdullahi Aliabadi, spokesman for the Khatam-al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said that Iran’s forces are proud, victorious and completely steadfast in defending the country. He stressed that this struggle will not stop until the entire goal is achieved.
What did Iran say on Trump’s claim of talks?
This statement of General Aliabadi has come in response to US President Donald Trump’s claim in which he had said that “productive” talks are going on between America and Iran, but Iran has clearly denied that any direct talks are taking place with America. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that they are in contact only with regional countries.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Kalibaf wrote on social media that no talks have taken place with America. He alleged that Trump’s fake news is being used to manipulate the oil and financial markets.
What does ‘complete victory’ mean?
General Aliabadi did not clarify what he meant by complete victory, but this statement is being seen as a strong warning not to make concessions in any talks with America. The stand of the Iranian Army is clear that they are not ready to bow under any pressure.
Israel announces to continue attacks
On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that whether America talks about a ceasefire or not, Israel will continue attacking Iran and Lebanon. He said that there would be more attacks in the coming days. Meanwhile, Iran has continued missile and drone attacks on Israel and some Gulf countries.
Israel bombed southern areas of Lebanon’s capital Beirut, killing at least two people. In Kuwait, power lines were damaged by shrapnel from air defense systems, causing power outages for several hours. Missile alert sirens sounded in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia claimed to have shot down 19 Iranian drones.
