Two witnesses present on Palm Jumeirah said that they heard a very loud explosion near the Fairmont Hotel. According to AFP report. Another eyewitness said that he saw thick black smoke coming from the hotel and heard several ambulances moving very fast towards the scene. People living around the hotel were frightened by the intensity of the blast and started running towards safe places. The foreign tourists staying in the hotel got mad and ran out of the hotel to save their lives.

Relief and rescue operations continue

Dubai Media Office issued a statement saying that emergency rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the spot and the scene has been completely secured. Dubai Civil Defense has confirmed that the fire in the hotel has now been brought under control. Four people injured in this attack have been taken to the nearest hospital for immediate treatment. Officials are now thoroughly investigating the nature of the debris to determine the exact cause of the fire. The condition of the injured admitted in the hospital is currently said to be stable and the administration is continuously giving updates.
