Big bang after 28 years: Tabu will become a dreaded villain in Nagarjuna’s 100th film, fans are stunned
A very exciting news has come out for the fans of South and Bollywood cinema. Superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni’s much-awaited 100th film, tentatively titled ‘King100’, is continuously garnering a lot of buzz. The biggest update related to this film is that Indian cinema’s veteran actress Tabu is going to be seen as a dreaded villain opposite Nagarjuna in this film. Through this mega project, this blockbuster pair is all set to create a stir on the big screen once again after almost 28 years. 28 year long drought to be broken on silver screen and old memories will be created. Tabu and Nagarjuna’s on-screen chemistry was very popular in the 90s. The two last worked together in the 1998 Telugu film ‘Aavida Ma Aavida’, whereas before this their pair was loved by the audience in the 1996 blockbuster hit film ‘Ninne Peladatta’. Now, after almost three decades, seeing both of them face to face in a new and completely different style is no less than a big surprise for the fans. According to media reports, Tabu will not play any romantic role in the film, but will play the role of the main villain in a very strong negative shade. From gray shades to Hollywood, Tabu has no equal in bringing negative and complex characters to life on screen. Before this, she has surprised critics and audiences with her roles with gray and dark shades in films like ‘Maqbool’, ‘Haider’, ‘Andhadhun’ and ‘Fitoor’. Talking about Tabu’s work front, she was last seen in the horror-comedy film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ with Akshay Kumar. Apart from this, she has also made her mark at the international level by playing the very important role of Sister Francesca in the famous HBO series ‘Dune: Prophecy’. This star couple was once in the news for having an affair. Apart from the screen, in the late 1990s, there were a lot of headlines in the media circles about the personal life and alleged relationship of Nagarjuna and Tabu. There was speculation about their affair for more than a decade. However, after Nagarjuna decided not to separate from his wife Amala Akkineni, their paths parted forever, but even today an excellent professional bonding continues between the two.
