Big bang at the box office: momentum continues in the fourth week, new records created in foreign earnings

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection: Ranveer Singh’s much awaited film ‘Dhurandhar’ has once again registered a huge surge at the box office amid the Christmas holidays. Even on the 23rd day of its release, the pace of the film’s earnings does not seem to be stopping, due to which it is moving towards new records on both the domestic and international fronts.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, this spy thriller has not only performed brilliantly in India, but has also left behind the lifetime collections of many all-time blockbuster films abroad. ‘Dhurandhar’, which has entered its fourth week, has now gone far ahead of the Rs 1000 crore club.

Dhurandhar Box Office Update (Day 23)

As of Saturday evening, after completing 23 days in theatres, ‘Dhurandhar’ has collected a net collection of ₹668 crore in India, while the gross collection has reached ₹801.50 crore. With this it has become the fifth highest grossing Indian film of all time in India.

The film comes after pan-India blockbusters like Pushpa 2, Bahubali 2, KGF Chapter 2 and RRR. The special thing is that till now no Bollywood film had been able to cross the figure of ₹ 650 crore, which ‘Dhurandhar’ has left behind.

The film is fast moving towards 700 crore club.

The film is rapidly moving towards the ₹700 crore mark in India. According to trade reports, its performance remains very strong abroad too, where it is earning more than 1 million dollars per day.

Crossed 26 million dollars in overseas market

According to business sources, the foreign collection of ‘Dhurandhar’ has exceeded 26 million dollars. Along with this, the worldwide collection of the film is said to be ₹1035 crore, while the producers claim that this figure has crossed ₹1050 crore.

Left behind ‘Awara’, ‘Dinky’ and ‘3 Idiots’

On the back of stellar overseas collections, ‘Dhurandhar’ has overtaken the lifetime overseas collections of many landmark films, including:

  • Maverick – $25.8 million
  • Mera Naam Joker – $22.1 million
  • My Name is Khan – $20.3 million
  • Donkey – $23.7 million
  • 3 Idiots – $26 million

However, the all-time record in the overseas market is still in the name of ‘Dangal’, which made a historic earning of $258 million. Despite this, it is expected that ‘Dhurandhar’ can leave behind Sholay ($28 million), Kalki 2898 AD and Bobby (both $29 million) by the end of its run.

In ‘Dhurandhar’, Ranveer Singh plays the role of an Indian spy named Hamza, who infiltrates the terrorist network of Karachi. Directed by Aditya Dhar, this spy thriller stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R. Madhavan is also seen in important roles. The second part of the film will be released in March 2026.
