The resignation of Nagaon MP Pradyut Bordoloi and Assam Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President Navjyoti Talukdar has further heated up the election atmosphere. Navjyoti Talukdar’s resignation
Navjyoti Talukdar, in his letter sent to Mallikarjun Kharge, raised serious questions on the functioning of the party. He cited long-standing dissatisfaction, lack of coordination and non-resolution of complaints as the reasons for his resignation.

Pradyut Bordoloi also left
Nagaon MP Pradyut Bordoloi also expressed deep sorrow in his resignation. they wrote: "With great sadness, I today tender my resignation from all posts, privileges and primary membership of the Indian National Congress."
Controversy increased regarding ticket distribution
According to sources, there was increasing dissatisfaction within the party regarding ticket distribution and candidate selection. Bordoloi had expressed objection about the possible candidate for Lahorighat seat and had already threatened to resign.
Third consecutive big shock
This development is being considered as the third consecutive major setback for the Congress. Before this, Bhupen Kumar Bora has also left the party, due to which the position of the organization seems to be further weakening.
