Ranchi: JMM has suffered a major setback before the voting for 38 seats for the second phase of Jharkhand assembly elections on November 20. Littipara JMM MLA Dinesh William Marandi joined BJP today.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha's Littipara MLA Dinesh Marandi took membership of BJP in front of Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. JMM did not give ticket to Dinesh William Marandi this time. He was angry with this and was continuously giving statements against the party leadership. Due to which a show cause notice was issued to him a day before and he was ordered to reply within 24 hours. Instead of replying, Dinesh William Marandi has given a big blow to JMM by taking membership of BJP.
On this occasion, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that today the population of tribals in Santal Pargana division has reduced from 44 percent to 28 percent. The tribal community has become a minority in Pakur.
