Those who surrendered also include active Maoists like Madavi Mada, Punem Sukku, Hemla Lachi and Sodi Bhima. According to the police, all of them were considered very influential within the organization.

Police said that a trained Maoist doctor was also among those who surrendered. A total of 36 weapons were handed over to the police during the surrender. These include AK series rifle, SLR, INSAS, grenade launcher, pistol and revolver.
