Big blow to mother-in-law Giribala Singh in Tvisha case, Madhya Pradesh High Court cancels anticipatory bail

Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh High Court has canceled the anticipatory bail granted to former judge Giribala Singh in the Twisha Sharma death case. During the hearing held in Jabalpur on Wednesday, vacation judge Devnarayan Mishra made it clear that considering the facts of the case and the seriousness of the allegations, the anticipatory bail granted by the Bhopal sessions court on May 15, 2026 is cancelled.

The court passed this important order while accepting the petitions filed in the case related to dowry harassment and other serious allegations.

‘Finally got justice in Tvisha case’ – family lawyer
Senior advocate Anurag Srivastava, appearing on behalf of Tvisha Sharma’s family, welcomed the court’s decision. He said that after a long struggle, an important step has finally been taken towards justice in the Twisha case. He also said that since Giribala Singh has been in judicial service for 36 years, she should cooperate with the CBI investigation while respecting the law.

Samarth Singh in CBI custody, investigation intensified-
Earlier, a Bhopal court had sent Twisha Sharma’s husband Samarth Singh to CBI custody. After this, the CBI team took him to the residence of Giribala Singh in Katara Hills and made efforts to collect important evidence related to the case.

The dead body was found in the in-laws house on May 12.
It is noteworthy that former model and actress Tvisha Sharma was found hanging at her in-laws house in Bhopal on May 12. After initial investigation, the case was handed over to CBI, which re-registered the FIR of Madhya Pradesh Police and made husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh as accused. The investigation of the case is currently going on.
