Uttar Pradesh :- The government has taken a major step towards strengthening the health infrastructure and providing affordable treatment to the common citizens. Giving priority to social security and public welfare programmes, huge funds have been allocated for the health sector in the recently presented supplementary budget. The main objective of this step is to settle pending medical claims and expand medical facilities in rural areas.

Ayushman Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana: Provision of Rs 300 crore
The government has made a special provision of Rs 300 crore for payment to hospitals empaneled under the Ayushman Bharat Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

Who will get the benefit: This scheme is proving to be a lifesaver for those families, who due to some reason were left out of being registered in the main ‘Ayushman Bharat Scheme’ of the Central Government.
Facility: Under this, eligible beneficiaries get free cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh per year. With this new arrangement of the budget, the claims of hospitals will be paid on time, due to which there will be no hindrance in the treatment of patients.
