“Big, boss, not powerful, rulers”: Australian players describe BCCI, ICC and Indian cricket in one word

Australian cricketers Pat Cummins, Usman Khawaja, Travis Head, Nathan Lyon, Glenn Maxwell, Alex Carey, and Steve Smith were given a chance to describe BCCI, ICC, and Indian cricket in the world. Some of them knew that ICC is nothing in front of the BCCI, and Smith even went on to say it, but realizing it could put him in hot waters, he ended up calling it a joke.

Cummins called the three big while Head gave the rulers title to the richest cricket board in the world. He called ICC as second and Indian cricket as strong. Khawaja chose to pass the ICC option as he has been at loggerheads with the apex body in the past over several issues. For him, Indian cricket is talented.

Big, boss, and passionate were the terms used for the BCCI, ICC and Indian cricket by Nathan Lyon. The all-rounder Glenn Maxwell feels that BCCI is powerful while ICC is the boss. He called an Indian cricket fanatic.

Alex Carey gave powerful terms to the BCCI and Indian cricket. Smith mentioned that BCCI is the powerhouse and the ICC is not powerful. However, he changed his stance.

Australia are currently engaged in a five-Test series against India, and after three games, the scoreline is 1-1. The fourth contest between the two teams will start on December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
