The Bharti Airtel Company has become the lone private telecom operator which is offering its service at 16,700 ft above the sea level, the company said in a statement.

Sunil Mittal is the chairman of Bharti Airtel, a leading telecom company, making him a key player in the industry. He competes with Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio and Kumar Mangalam Birla’s Vodafone Idea.

Bharti Airtel has launched its 4G network service in Galwan and Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO), the northernmost military outpost in Ladakh, the company announced on Wednesday. Both Galwan and DBO are located in the Ladakh region along the Indo-China border, at the northeastern edge of the Karakoram Range.

The Bharti Airtel Company has become the lone private telecom operator which is offering its service at 16,700 ft above the sea level, the company said in a statement.

“Bharti Airtel joined hands with the Indian Army to launch its network in Galwan and Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO), the northernmost military outpost in the border town,” the telecom player said.

The company has installed 17 mobile towers across Kargil, Siachen, Galwan, Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO) and the Changthang regions.
