Big claim of eyewitness in Bhopal Hamidia Hospital firing case, bullets kept firing and policemen kept sitting inside, know the whole matter

Gang war created a sensation on Saturday morning in the largest government Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. At the emergency gate of the hospital, three miscreants riding an Activa opened fire on a person and fled away. This incident has raised serious questions on the security arrangements of the hospital. An eyewitness has claimed that while the bullets were being fired outside, the policemen remained sitting inside and did not dare to come out.

This incident happened around 6:30 in the morning. According to eyewitness Hemraj, he was standing near the emergency gate with his wife when three youths came on Activa. Two of them got down, carrying pistols and knives in their hands. He fired about three rounds at a person standing near the gate and ran away shouting abuses. Hemraj said, “There was chaos in the campus after the incident. We never thought that such a fearless incident could happen in Bhopal.”

Old gang war and battle for supremacy

Police investigation has revealed that this attack is the result of an old gang war in the city. The person targeted was history-sheeter criminal Lallu Raees, who had reached the hospital with his injured son Imran. In fact, before the firing in the hospital, Lallu’s house in Shankar Garden was also attacked. The accused followed Imran to his house and opened fire on him. A CCTV footage of this has also surfaced.

According to the police, Lallu Raees’s son Imran had fatally attacked Shazeb, brother of criminal Shadab Qureshi alias ‘Gate’, who was released from jail in a murder case about two years ago. It is believed that Saturday’s incident was done to take revenge. Injured Imran has been admitted to Hamidia Hospital, where his condition is out of danger.

Questions raised on the role of police

The role of police in this entire matter is also under question. Apart from the eyewitness, Lallu Rais himself released a video alleging that Ashoka Garden Police was present in the emergency ward at the time of the incident as they had brought his injured son for medical examination. Raees claimed that the police left him after the firing and the hospital guards saved his life.

“Sir, the bullets kept firing outside, the policemen remained sitting inside. They did not dare to come out. The accused fled away after committing the crime within just one and a half to two minutes.” — Hemraj, eyewitness

Police argument regarding security

On the allegations, Kohefiza police station in-charge KG Shukla said that there is security in the hospital and Charlie’s soldiers patrol the premises. However, he also said that internal security is the responsibility of the hospital guards. He said that an FIR has been registered in the firing incident and several teams including the crime branch are conducting raids to search for the accused. Lallu Raees also alleges that the accused run illegal gambling and betting business and he exposes their exploits, that is why they want to kill him.
