Big coup in Iran? Mujtaba Khamenei’s face burnt, leg amputated; Now the command of the country is in the hands of generals

The news coming from Iran has stunned the whole world. Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is missing after the horrific attack by America and Israel on February 28. The information that is now coming out is very scary. It is being told that Mujtaba’s face and lips were badly burnt in that attack, for which she needs plastic surgery. Not only this, one of his legs had to be amputated thrice and now he will be fitted with a prosthetic leg.

Mujtaba is living in hiding, even the President is not allowed to meet him!

Mujtaba Khamenei is currently under the strict supervision of doctors at a secret location. Surprisingly, Iran’s President Masoud Pazhakian, who is himself a heart surgeon, is involved in his treatment but is not able to meet Mujtaba directly. The security is so tight that even senior army commanders are hesitant in going there. They fear that Israel may follow them and find out Mujtaba’s whereabouts and carry out airstrike again. At present, Mujtaba sends his messages only by writing, which reach from one hand to another through bike or car in sealed envelopes.

Work is going on like a company director, the real power lies with the ‘board’

During the time of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, he used to take all the decisions himself, but during the time of Mujtaba, the story has changed. Mujtaba is acting like a ‘company director’, while the real decisions are taken by the army general and the ‘board’ of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Since assuming office in March, no one has seen Mujtaba or heard his voice. All major decisions related to Iran’s security, foreign policy and war are now being taken directly by the IRGC commander.

Will military rule replace religious rule?

Experts say that now the influence of religious leaders is decreasing in Iran and the army has emerged as the most powerful. US President Donald Trump has also indicated that Iran’s ‘system has changed’. Mujtaba has a long association with the military, as he took part in the Iran-Iraq War at the age of just 17. Today, he is surrounded by the same old friends who are called ‘Power Triangle’. These include former intelligence chief Hussain Taeb and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

Clash between government and army, avenues of dialogue closed

There is huge tension inside Iran at this time. On one hand, President Pazhakian and Foreign Minister Araghchi want to compensate the economic loss of 300 billion dollars by talking to America, while on the other hand, the army generals have rejected the talks. The generals believe that America wants to make Iran bow down by applying pressure. Supporters of the army are chanting slogans on the streets of Tehran, while the gap between the government and the IRGC continues to grow. In such a situation, the question arises whether Mujtaba Khamenei will ever come forward or will Iran now completely follow the instructions of the generals?
