Big decision of Bihar government, good news for land owners
Patna. The government has indicated to take big steps regarding land related matters in Bihar. Deputy CM cum Revenue Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha told in the Assembly that at present about 46 lakh applications are pending with the department. Of these, about 40 lakh applications are related to correction i.e. correction in land documents. The government says that these cases will be resolved quickly and relief will be given to the common people.
Name mistakes in papers are a big problem
The Revenue Minister said that a large number of applications are regarding errors in name or father’s name in the land records. Due to these small mistakes, people have to visit offices again and again to get their land documents corrected. The government’s aim is to make the process of refinement simple and time bound, so that people do not face unnecessary trouble.
Problems being faced in filing and rejecting
Questions were also raised in the House regarding purchase, sale and registration of land. MLA Manjeet Kumar Singh raised the issue of disruption in the admission-dismissal process in some districts. On this, the Deputy CM said that in many cases, technical hurdles are arising due to lack of clarity in the accounts. To overcome these problems, instructions have been given to the officials and necessary legal advice is also being taken.
priority to reduce land disputes
The state government believes that land disputes have long been a cause of social tension and violence in Bihar. Vijay Kumar Sinha said that it is the priority of the government to root out land related disputes. For this, it is important to make the records transparent and error free.
Block level registration counter
To speed up the process, registration counters are now being opened at the block level. Here the officials will directly investigate and dispose of the applications. This will reduce the need for people to go to the district headquarters and will save time.
It will be easy to get the benefits of the schemes
The government believes that unless land records are completely clear and updated, farmers and land owners will not be able to get the full benefits of government schemes. Therefore, by setting a time limit, work is being done to resolve the pending cases.
