Big decision of UP government, 1 new good news for workers

Noida. The problem of accommodation has been a major challenge for workers working in industrial areas in Uttar Pradesh for a long time. Due to rising rents in cities and distance from workplace, both financial and time burden on workers increases. Now to reduce this problem, the state government has put forward an important scheme, which is being considered as a big relief for the working class.

Four labor hostels will be ready in Noida

Under the scheme, there are preparations to build four modern labor hostels in Noida. Of these, two hostels will be developed directly by the authority, while two projects will proceed in collaboration with the Labor Welfare Board. There will be accommodation for about one thousand workers in each hostel. These will be built near industrial areas, so that commuting to work can be easy.

Housing Policy in Industrial Areas

The government has also decided that a part of the land in industrial areas will be used for housing of workers. This will provide the workers the facility to live near their workplace and will reduce everyday problems. Many government departments along with bodies related to urban development are also involved in this scheme.

Private sector participation also decided

Private developers will also be roped in to implement this scheme faster. Builders will be encouraged to participate in worker housing projects. In return, they will get facilities like speeding up the approval process, relaxation in rules and relief in development fees, so that housing construction can be accelerated.

Housing will be available at low rent

Under this scheme, the cost of living for the workers will be kept very low. It is estimated that the rent could be around Rs 1000 to Rs 1500 per month. In comparison to the rising rents in cities at present, this will prove to be a very economical option.

All types of workers will be included

This facility will not be limited to factory workers only, but will also include construction workers, technical workers like electricians, plumbers and other workers. The housing arrangement will be prepared in such a way that when it becomes vacant, it can be immediately given to another needy person.
