Big decision on sale of eggs in UP, new order will be implemented from April 1

Lucknow. A big step is being taken regarding food security in Uttar Pradesh. The state government has decided to implement a new rule to make the sale of eggs more transparent and safe. Under this system, it will now be mandatory to write the production date and expiry date on the eggs sold in the market.

What will change from April 1?

After this rule, which is going to be implemented from April 1, there will be a ban on the sale of undated eggs. Shopkeepers must clearly state on each egg or its package when it was prepared and when it is safe for use.

Customers will benefit directly

Consumers will get the biggest benefit from this decision. Now customers will be able to easily judge the freshness of eggs while purchasing them. This will reduce the chances of purchasing spoiled or several days old eggs.

Why was this decision necessary?

Till now, even old eggs were sold in many places without any information. Customers were not able to know how old the egg was. In such a situation, it could have a negative impact on health. Keeping this problem in mind, the government has taken this strict step.

Strict instructions given to departments

The responsibility has been assigned to the Animal Husbandry Department and Food Safety Department to effectively implement this new rule. Clear instructions have been given to the officials that strict action should be taken against those who violate the rules.

Action will be taken if rules are broken

If any wholesale or retail trader does not follow this rule, strict action will be taken against him. In such cases the eggs may be confiscated and destroyed.
