A new era has begun in Karnataka politics, on Wednesday (June 3) Congress state president DK Shivakumar took oath as the Chief Minister of the state. He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot at a swearing-in ceremony held at the Glass House at Lok Bhavan. But now in just two days we can see that there has been a major development in the Congress government in Karnataka and Minister Ramalinga Reddy has resigned within two days after the swearing in. On the allocation of ministerial posts, Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar has received the first blow of displeasure and Ramalinga Reddy has resigned expressing his displeasure over the allocation of accounts.
In the newly formed cabinet in Karnataka, the allocation of ministerial posts and portfolios has revealed internal displeasure within the Congress itself, which has turned into a major political nexus. Senior Congress leader Ramalinga Reddy has resigned from his ministerial post. Reddy expressed his displeasure explaining that his word was not kept which led him to take this big step. Although Reddy will leave the Cabinet, he will continue to work full-time as a Congress MLA and Congress worker. Addressing a press conference, Ramalinga Reddy targeted Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.

Ramalinga Reddy held a press conference and expressed his displeasure with Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. He said on this occasion, “When DK Shivakumar came to my house, he said that when he becomes the Chief Minister, he will give up the Bengaluru Development Ministry and then you take care of it. I never demanded this portfolio myself. But, I was given the same confidence in this regard. After two promises, now I have been given the Water Resources Department. After this decision, I am disappointed and am resigning from my ministry.”

End of Chief Ministership and leadership struggle for DK Shivakumar
The struggle over chief ministership and leadership in Karnataka politics for the past few years has finally come to an end. According to the instructions of the Congress High Command, former Chief Minister D. K. After Siddaramaiah resigned from his post on May 28, the way for leadership change was cleared.
