Big digital change in Punjab administration in 2025, 1.85 lakh people got 437 services sitting at home
The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has achieved an important achievement by making the administrative structure of the state completely digital and citizen-centric by 2025. Now Punjab has become a state where government work is no longer limited to offices only, but has reached people’s homes. This change has increased transparency and accountability and eliminated the long standing culture of ‘recommendation and delay’.
What did Cabinet Minister Aman Arora say?
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that due to the far-sighted policies of the government, common citizens can now avail various government services sitting at their doorstep. In this direction, ‘Bhagwant Maan Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’ scheme has emerged as the most important initiative. Under this scheme, till now 437 types of services have been provided to more than 1.85 lakh citizens at their homes. This initiative has proved to be a time saver as well as a special help to the elderly and residents of rural areas.
The clearest example of administrative efficiency was seen in the Revenue Department, where Patwaris disposed of more than 12.46 lakh applications online. This infusion of technology simplified the old and complex tasks related to real estate, which were once the center of corruption and pending cases. Now the entire process has become paperless and security and authenticity are being ensured with QR-coded digital certificates. Citizens no longer need to visit government offices or seek help from middlemen.
clear instructions from bhagwant mann
The main basis of this success of the government is the real-time monitoring being done through ‘Digital Dashboard’. Under this system, the pendency of departmental services has reduced to only 0.33%, which is the lowest level ever in the administrative history of the state. Minister Aman Arora said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given clear instructions that the public work should be completed within the time limit without any hindrance.
Thus, Punjab has proved that with a combination of technology and strong political will, transparent, accountable and corruption-free governance can be established. This system is directly dedicated to the welfare of the common citizens and has proved to be a milestone in the administrative reforms of the state.
