Today the prices of gold and silver have decreased significantly on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). The price of gold in the month of August has decreased by Rs 2,111 and now it is at the level of Rs 1,51,768. Talking about silver, there has been a big fall of Rs 6,862 in the price of silver in the month of July. After this, silver is now trading at Rs 2,44,945. Today during the day the price of silver also reached its lowest level of Rs 2,44,647. This decline has happened due to less buying in the market and news coming from abroad.

The prices of 18, 22 and 24 carat gold in different cities of the country were like this. Gold was the most expensive in Chennai, where 24 carat gold was sold at Rs 14,803, 22 carat at Rs 13,569 and 18 carat at Rs 11,349 per gram. In Delhi, Jaipur and Lucknow, 24 carat gold was priced at Rs 14,600, 22 carat Rs 13,384 and 18 carat Rs 10,953 per gram. In Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kerala, Pune, Vijayawada, Nagpur and Bhubaneswar, 24 carat gold was priced at Rs 14,585, 22 carat Rs 13,369 and 18 carat Rs 10,938 per gram. Apart from this, in Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Patna and Surat, 24 carat gold was sold at Rs 14,590, 22 carat gold at Rs 13,374 and 18 carat gold at Rs 10,943 per gram.

A decrease in the price of silver has also been seen across the country. The average price of silver in India has been Rs 249.90 per gram and Rs 2,49,900 per kg. If we look city wise, in Chennai, Hyderabad and Kerala, 10 grams of silver was sold for Rs 2,549 and one kg silver was sold for Rs 2,54,900. Whereas in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Pune, Vadodara and Ahmedabad, 10 grams of silver was sold for Rs 2,499 and one kg silver was sold for Rs 2,49,900.
