The two-day national forum Big Hairy Audacious Forum (BHAF), organized by Corporate Connections India, concluded on Saturday at the Surat Marriott Hotel in the city. Held on March 13 and 14, the event saw successful entrepreneurs, founders and business leaders from across the country share thoughts on leadership, entrepreneurship and the future of business.
During the program, Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor and Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil also shared his experiences and views. Both the speakers gave motivational messages on different topics, where Arjun Kapoor described emotional connect with people as the key to success, while C.R. Patil described water conservation as the biggest responsibility of the future.
Actor Arjun Kapoor, while sharing his experience, said that the real strength of any artist is the emotional bond he forms with his audience. He told that on the same day he got photographed with some children and met people at Surat Railway Station. He said that not every person watches his every film, but sometimes someone watches a film and remembers that small moment when he met him.
He said that this small experience creates a lifelong bond with a fan. However, he also admitted that it is not possible to take photos with everyone, because time is limited. In such a situation, sometimes some people get angry, which is a difficult situation for the artist also.
Sharing his thoughts on business and entrepreneurship, Arjun Kapoor said that artists know how to earn money, but they have to learn to manage it properly. He said that he is still in the learning phase and wants to be a part of a business ecosystem in the future where new opportunities can be explored with the right partners, resources and vision. He also said that he has partnerships in some projects in Dubai, but his main focus is to understand and develop new business opportunities in India itself.
Whereas Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil in his address laid special emphasis on the need for water conservation. He said that people living in cities use an average of 135 liters of water per person every day and a family uses one and a half to two lakh liters of water in a year. He raised the question that if all the water is used today then what will be left for the future generations.
He told that the country receives about 4000 MCM rainfall every year, whereas our requirement is about 1120 MCM. Despite this, the water conservation capacity is only 750 MCM, due to which ground water has to be over-exploited and the water level is going down.
Patil appealed to the industrialists and entrepreneurs to make arrangements for rain water harvesting in their home, office or factory. He said that this system can be made at low cost and it will help in increasing the water level under the ground.
During the forum, prominent speakers from various industries discussed topics related to leadership, strategy and the future of entrepreneurship. Gaurav V.K., National Director, Corporate Connections India. Singhvi and Yash Vasant said that this platform is not just a networking event but a medium to strengthen trust and cooperation among entrepreneurs.
