Big news for railway employees, new facilities from May 1
Bhopal. West Central Railway has taken a big step towards making health services more easy, faster and transparent for its employees and their families. From May 1, the treatment process in all railway hospitals will be completely digitalized, which will eliminate paperwork and make services more convenient.
1. Easy treatment through digital registration
Under the new system, registration of patients will now be done through UMID card number. Along with this, OTP based verification system will be implemented on mobile, which will make the identification process fast and secure.
2. End paper referral system
Now patients will not require any kind of paper referral. The entire process will be conducted through online system, which will save time and reduce crowding in hospitals.
3. Emergency and referral services also online
In the new system, the process of emergency cases and referral in private hospitals will also be digital. Approval or rejection will be given by the Railway Hospital within 24 hours after the patient’s information is uploaded on the portal.
4. Discharge process also digital
After completion of the treatment, the process of discharge of the patient will also be completed through the online portal. This will improve transparency and recording throughout the treatment cycle.
5. More than two lakh people will get benefits
About two lakh employees and their families of the three divisions of West Central Railway including Bhopal Railway Division will directly benefit from this digital system. According to officials, this new system will not only increase the speed of treatment, but monitoring will also be easier since the records will be digital. This will reduce the possibility of any kind of irregularity and patients will be able to get better services.
