The central government launched Lakhpati Didi Yojana in 2023, through which women are trained to start their own businesses. Some qualifications have also been fixed for this. Only women who fit these criteria can avail the benefit of this scheme. In this scheme, women are given interest-free loans to start businesses. This scheme is being implemented to create employment opportunities for women through their business. The special thing is that under this scheme women are also being provided with loans ranging from 1 to 5 lakhs to start a new business. Depending on your business, this loan is going to be given.

What are the benefits of this plan?

Women are given interest-free loans ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh. This means that no additional interest will be paid after repaying the full amount of the loan.

Through self-help groups, women are trained in areas such as tailoring, beauty parlour, food production, agriculture and animal husbandry.

The scheme helps women start small businesses or expand existing businesses.

Low cost insurance is also available under this scheme, which ensures business security.

Through this scheme women can become financially independent and increase their income.

Terms and Conditions

To avail Lakhpati Didi Yojana the following conditions must be fulfilled.

Female applicant must be between 18 to 50 years of age.

It is mandatory for a woman to join a self-help group (SHG).

No member of the family should be in government employment.

Documents like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Residence Certificate, Income Certificate, Passport Size Photo and Bank Passbook are required.

First, contact your nearest self-help group and become a member.
Be clear about how you will use the loan and create your business plan.

Get the application form from the nearest bank, women and child development department or Sahat Group office. Fill it with required documents.

After submitting the application, the relevant authorities will review your documents and business plan.

If you are found eligible, the loan will be approved and the amount will be transferred to your bank account.

Which businesses are eligible for loans?

Under this scheme, women can get loans to start tailoring, beauty parlour, food production, animal husbandry and other small scale industries. These loans can be used not only for starting a business but also for expanding an existing business.
