Big news from Chandigarh: New chapter of education reform in Punjab, Mission Samarth 4.0 started

 

Punjab: Taking forward the education revolution of Punjab, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia today launched ‘Mission Samarth 4.0’. This program has been started with the aim of improving the quality of education in government schools and strengthening the learning level of students.

 

Attendance tracking system launched

Under the new initiative, attendance tracking system has been implemented in the state. Through this, parents will get SMS every day about their children’s school attendance. Even if the child is absent, this information will be given immediately, so that there can be better communication between the school and the parents.

 

Punjab: Emphasis on accountability and improvement in education

Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that Punjab has already topped the ‘Parakh’ survey and now the government is working to bring more transparency and accountability in the education system. He said that Mission Samarth aims to improve the quality of learning at the classroom level.

Punjab: Big increase in budget

The government has increased the education budget from Rs 12,657 crore to Rs 19,279 crore. According to the minister, this money is now being spent directly on the development of schools, infrastructure and education improvement, due to which a big change is being seen at the ground level.

 

Improve school infrastructure

The Punjab government has appointed campus managers in senior secondary schools with more than 500 students and arrangements for security guards and cleaning staff in smaller schools. Due to this the environment of schools has become better than before.

Punjab: Textbooks available on time

This time the government has provided free textbooks to all students till April 1. Where earlier books used to arrive late, now timely delivery has been ensured, due to which there is no hindrance in studies.

 

Mission Samarth’s goals and performance

The main objective of Mission Samarth is to make students of class 3rd to 8th strong in reading, writing and mathematics. Nearly 12 lakh students and 70,000 teachers have been engaged under this programme, which has seen improvement in learning outcomes.

 

Manish Sisodia’s statement and future direction

Punjab: Manish Sisodia said that Punjab has proved the potential of government schools and the top performance in Parakh 2024 is proof of this. He said that Mission Samarth 4.0 is a major step towards ensuring education of every child, so that no student is left behind in basic learning.
