Big order from Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, strict action against those spreading fake paper leaks

Tezzbuzz Desk – The Central Government now seems to be in full alert mode regarding NEET-UG re-exam. To prevent any irregularities, paper leaks or rumors in the examination, the Education Ministry held a high level meeting with security and intelligence agencies. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan gave clear instructions to the officials that the examination should be conducted in a safe, fair and transparent manner under all circumstances.

Senior officials of the Education Ministry, National Testing Agency (NTA), security agencies and intelligence department attended the meeting. During this, the security, digital monitoring and possible weaknesses of the examination centers were reviewed in detail. The government has decided to keep strict surveillance before and during the examination.

Meanwhile, the government has also taken a tough stance regarding the rumors and fake paper leaks spreading on social media. In a separate meeting with representatives of big tech companies like Meta, Google and Telegram, concerns were expressed over fake posts, clickbait messages and channels spreading fear.

According to officials, many Telegram channels suddenly become active before the exams and create panic among students and parents by spreading fake paper leaks or wrong information related to the exam. Many times students are sent fake links and are directed to fake groups and automated bots.

Inputs from intelligence agencies have also revealed that some suspicious channels are operating from limited mobile numbers. Due to this, suspicion of organized network is being raised. The government is now preparing to identify such networks and take strict action against them.

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has instructed social media companies to immediately block channels and accounts spreading fake information. He said that social media platforms will have to take swift action in coordination with the Education Ministry, NTA and law enforcement agencies, so that wrong information does not reach the students.

The government says that maintaining the confidence of students is its biggest priority. The Ministry has also appealed to the candidates and parents not to believe any unconfirmed information or viral messages and only trust the official website and notifications.
