During the period 1 May to 24 May 2026, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited supplied 9,32,092 KL of petrol and 15,42,154 KL of high-speed diesel through its extensive retail network. During the same period, the company dispatched 1,60,488 fuel tankers loaded with MS, HSD and SKO-PDS products to ensure uninterrupted replenishment in markets across the country.
Significant increase in fuel demand
Increased customer traffic in some regions was mainly due to seasonal agricultural demand, increased diesel requirement during harvesting operations and shift from some private retail outlets and institutional/business customers to retail outlets. Despite the significant increase in fuel demand during this period, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited’s integrated supply chain, terminals, depots, LPG bottling plants and frontline teams worked tirelessly to ensure smooth operations and uninterrupted customer service across the country.

Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited reported growth as follows:
• Petrol (MS) retail sales increased from 700 TMT to 736 TMT, registering a growth of 5%.
• High-Speed Diesel (HSD) retail sales increased to 1,427 TMT from 1,335 TMT, a growth of 7%.

In the LPG sector, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) distributed 27.7 lakh LPG cylinders across the country during the period 1 May to 24 May 2026, strengthening the reach and reliability of its distribution network. The company also reported sales as follows:
• 5,27,928 units of 5 kg free trade LPG cylinders
• 26,145 units of 2 kg cylinders
These small cylinders have consistently helped in making accessible and affordable clean cooking fuel available to a large consumer base. As part of its consumer awareness activities, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited organized 2,652 camps to promote 5 kg cylinders in markets and communities, thereby strengthening access to clean cooking fuel.
99.3% LPG booking through online process
