Big relief for ration card holders, deadline for e-KYC process extended, update till March 2025

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced big relief for ration card holders. The e-KYC process for ration card holders was to be completed by December 31, but now its deadline has been extended. As 31st December Bihar is near, ration card holders and Kotdars were also very worried because the e-KYC process of many people has not been completed yet.

How long has the e-KYC process been extended?

It has been informed that the time to complete the e-KYC process was only till December 31, but now it has been extended, which has brought relief to the passengers. Now the process of e-KYC can be completed by March 2025. Card holders will have 3 months to complete this process. In Kheri district, e-KYC of about 67% ration card holders has been completed.

This process was started so that transparency could be brought in this scheme. There are many people who are taking advantage of this scheme illegally. That means, despite being eligible, they are taking free or low cost food grains from the government.
