Big relief for Shiksha Mitras and instructors, will get increased honorarium from April
Taking an important decision (Shiksha Mitra Salary Increase) in the interest of contractual employees associated with the education sector, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced a significant increase in the honorarium of Shiksha Mitras and instructors. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Giving information in this regard in the Assembly, he said that from April 2026, Shiksha Mitras will be given Rs 18 thousand every month, while the monthly honorarium of instructors has been increased to Rs 17 thousand.
For a long time, Shiksha Mitras and instructors in the state were demanding increase in their honorarium. Now, with this decision of the government, a large number of working employees will get financial relief (Shiksha Mitra Salary Increase). At present, about 1.43 lakh Shiksha Mitras are working in the primary schools of the state, who are playing an important role in providing education to the children.
Similarly, about 24 thousand instructors are teaching various subjects in junior high schools. Till now they had to work on limited honorarium, but after the new announcement, there will be a direct increase in their income, which is expected to improve their financial condition.
The government believes that this increase in honorarium is an important step towards strengthening the education system and increasing the morale of the personnel associated with teaching work (Shiksha Mitra Salary Increase). With this, Shiksha Mitras and instructors working in schools will be able to perform their responsibilities with more enthusiasm and dedication.
The Chief Minister also said that the state government is continuously taking positive decisions keeping in mind the development of the education sector and the interests of teachers. This decision is being considered an important initiative towards resolving the long pending issue of Shiksha Mitras and instructors.
