Now status will also be saved in draft – Obnews

The world’s most popular messaging app WhatsApp is once again going to take a big step towards improving the user experience. The company is soon going to introduce a feature under which WhatsApp status can now be saved in draft. This feature will work like the Draft option of Instagram and will bring special relief to those users who are unable to post the status due to some reason while creating it.

Till now in WhatsApp, if a user closed the app while creating a status or the process remained incomplete due to a call, then the entire status had to be created again. Many times the hard work done with photos, videos or text went in vain. This problem is expected to end with the introduction of the new Draft feature.

According to reports, this new update of WhatsApp will automatically save the status in Draft. That means if the user does not post the status while creating it, then the next time the status section is opened the same incomplete status will be visible again. If the user wants, they can edit it and post it further or delete it.

Tech experts believe that this feature will be especially useful for those who often add text, stickers and music to photo or video status. Creating a long and creative status takes time and the Draft option will save that effort.

WhatsApp is continuously strengthening its status feature. In the recent past, changes like music status, long video support and new privacy controls have been seen in the app. The Draft feature is being considered as the next step in this series, which will bring the WhatsApp status experience closer to Instagram and Facebook Stories.

However, in the initial phase this feature can be tested for selected users. Usually WhatsApp first rolls out new features in beta version and later releases it for all users. It is expected that this update may be available on both Android and iOS platforms in the coming weeks.
