Big relief to blind unions, Minister Dr. Baljeet Kaur made important announcement

Punjab News: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is committed to the welfare and inclusive development of every section of the society. Under this series, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljeet Kaur today held a meeting with the blind unions of Punjab and seriously listened to their problems and demands.

During the meeting held at Punjab Bhawan, Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljeet Kaur assured the blind unions that all their legitimate demands will be fulfilled on priority basis. He directed the officials to take immediate action to fill the vacant posts under the disabled quota as soon as possible.

Continuous efforts to connect with the mainstream of society

Dr. Baljeet Kaur clarified that the demands which are acceptable at the departmental level will be implemented immediately, while the demands which require a decision at the government level will be taken up with the government in full. He said that the Punjab Government is making continuous efforts to make the disabled persons self-reliant and connect them with the mainstream of the society. The meeting concluded in a cordial and positive atmosphere.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of Social Security, Women and Child Development Department Vikas Pratap, Director Dr. Sena Aggarwal, Joint Secretary Anand Sagar Sharma, Deputy Directors Amarjeet Singh Bhullar, Ravinder Singh Rahi and other officers of the department were specially present in the meeting.
