Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday has given a big relief to Subhashpa MLA Abbas Ansari in a money laundering case, the court has accepted the bail plea of ​​Abbas and approved it. Abbas Ansari is the son of powerful leader, gangster and former MLA Mukhtar Ansari and is currently lodged in Kasganj jail of Uttar Pradesh. Abbas is an MLA from Mau seat, where the Ansari family has considerable influence.

Baahubali Mukhtar Ansari died in jail a few months ago. On August 14, the court had issued a notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seeking its response on Ansari's plea challenging the Allahabad High Court's order rejecting the bail plea of ​​MLA Abbas Ansari.

It is being told that the High Court had rejected the bail plea of ​​Abbas Ansari on May 9. Regarding bail, the court had said that the material available on record including the 'flow chart' clearly shows the source of the money and it also shows how the money reached the accounts of accused Ansari, hence the court feels that That he is not entitled to bail at this stage.

The court had also said in its order that there were indications of Ansari's money transactions with two companies M/s Vikas Construction and M/s Aagaaz. ED alleged that Ansari had used these companies for money laundering. The ED had registered a case against Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (Subhashpa) MLA Ansari under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, on the basis of three previous cases. A case was registered against Ansari in this case on November 4, 2002. Ansari, MLA from Mau seat of Uttar Pradesh, is currently in Kasganj jail. At present the court has given him great relief by granting him bail.
