Ranchi: The results of Jharkhand assembly elections have been announced. The state has got its new 81 MLAs. But the people have elected their representatives and sent them to the assembly. Most of them are leaders with criminal image. This has been revealed in the report of Association for Democratic Reforms i.e. ADR. The report of ADR shows that out of the 81 candidates whom the public has elected and sent to the Assembly, 43 have criminal cases registered against them. All these victorious candidates have themselves given this information in their affidavits submitted to the Election Commission.
Of these 43, serious criminal cases are registered against 36. Serious criminal cases include crimes related to murder, attempt to murder, rape, assault. It is not that these winners with criminal image belong to any one party, rather all the parties gave tickets to candidates with criminal image, who were rejected by the public. After being elected, they have been sent to the Assembly. In the ADR report, the winning candidates have been divided on the basis of criminal cases and their seriousness. Along with this, it was also told that what kind of criminal cases are registered against how many leaders of which party. Winning candidates with declared cases related to murder: 2 winning candidates have declared cases related to murder (IPC section 302) against themselves. Winning candidates with declared cases related to attempt to murder: 19 winning candidates have declared cases related to attempt to murder (IPC section 307 and BNS section 109) against themselves.
Winning candidates with declared cases related to crimes against women: 5 winning candidates have declared cases related to crimes against women. 1 out of 5 winning candidates has declared charges related to rape (IPC section 376). Party-wise winning candidates with criminal cases: 12 out of 34 winning candidates of JMM (35%), 21 out of 21 winning candidates of BJP 13 (62%), 8 out of 15 winning candidates of Congress (53%), 4 out of 4 winning candidates of RJD (100%), 2 winning candidates of CPI (ML) (L) 2 (100%) out of 1 winning candidate of AJSU Party (100%), 1 out of 1 winning candidate of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) (100%), 1 out of 1 winning candidate of JD(U) 1 (100%) of Jharkhand and 1 (100%) of the winning candidates of Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha have declared criminal cases against themselves in their affidavits.
Party-wise winning candidates with serious criminal cases: 9 of 34 winning candidates of JMM (26%), 11 of 21 winning candidates of BJP (52%), 6 of 15 winning candidates of Congress (40%), 4 of RJD 4 out of 1 winning candidates (100%), 2 out of 2 winning candidates of CPI (ML) (L), 1 out of 1 winning candidates of AJSU Party (100%), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), 1 out of 1 victorious candidate of JD(U) and 1 out of 1 victorious candidate of JD(U) and 1 out of 1 victorious candidate of Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (100%) in their affidavits. Serious criminal cases have been declared against him.
