Big statement of Mohan Bhagwat in Nagpur: “Wars like America-Iran are motivated by selfishness, the world is in crisis… Solution lies in India and Sanatan Dharma”
Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Chief Mohan Bhagwat Gave a big statement during an event in Nagpur on the global situation, especially the increasing tensions and wars like America-Iran. He said that the root of the crisis the world is going through at present is selfishness and power politics, and if this situation continues then the world can reach the brink of destruction.
Bhagwat said in his address that today’s wars are not being fought for any ideal or justice, but because of personal and national interests. This is the reason why instability and conflicts are continuously increasing in the world. He indicated that the increasing tension in regions like the Middle East is not just a regional issue, but has become a serious threat to global peace.
In his speech he also said that in such times India’s role becomes very important. According to him, India has not only political or military strength but also a cultural and spiritual heritage which has the potential to unite the entire world. Bhagwat said that this specialty of India makes it different from other countries.
He specifically mentioned “Sanatan Dharma” and said that it is not just a religious idea, but a universal way of living, which teaches us to take everyone along and accept diversity. This principle is needed in today’s world, where division and conflict are increasing.
Bhagwat also made it clear that India should not be limited to preaching only, but it must also increase its power. He said that “the world understands the language of strength, so it is important for India to become strong.” He also added that the balance of power and morality is the real identity of India.
According to him, if India moves forward adopting its cultural roots and values—like tolerance, harmony and ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’—it can play an important role in ending global conflicts. He said that India has a vision that can unite all countries, not divide them.
During the speech he also said that the real reason for the conflicts taking place in the name of religion in the world is the misunderstanding of religion. If “Dharma” is understood correctly, it shows the path not of division but of unity. He said that the basic principle of Sanatan Dharma is that all paths may be different, but the goal is the same.
In the current global scenario, where US-Iran tensions on one hand and other international conflicts on the other are increasing, Bhagwat’s statement opens a new debate on India’s possible role. Can India really lead global peace? This question is now being raised at the international level also.
Overall, this speech given in Nagpur is not being considered just an ideological comment, but a big message about India’s global role. Bhagwat clearly said that if the world has to be brought out of war and crisis, it will need not just power, but also values and ideology—and India has this capability.
