Big step for Haryana farmers, agricultural products will reach African countries through ‘Go Global’

Haryana Go Global: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s ‘Go Global’ initiative has gained new momentum. Under this initiative, important steps have been taken towards connecting the farmers of the state to the international market and increasing their income.

Various agreements signed

On this occasion, an agreement has been signed with MDH, under which now farmers of Haryana will be able to get opportunities for farming and trading of agricultural products in many African countries including Tanzania, Kenya. Six Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) also signed various agreements in the presence of the Chief Minister. The objective of these agreements is to connect farmers to the global market and get better prices for their agricultural produce.

Plan to start natural farming

Under the scheme, cultivation of ginger, turmeric, chilli and other spice crops will be promoted in Morni area, which is expected to increase the income of farmers. Along with this, a plan has been made to start natural farming on about 4 thousand acres of land in the initial phase. The government says that farmers adopting natural farming will be compensated in case of any loss.

Farmers will get more benefits

Apart from this, a provision has also been made by the company to give 10 percent more price than the market price to the farmers doing natural farming, due to which the farmers will get more financial benefits.
