Big update in PM Kisan Yojana, check these details before the 22nd installment, otherwise the installment may get stuck.
New Delhi:With the beginning of the new year, crores of farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for the next installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Now a big update has come out regarding the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Yojana, which is directly linked to the pockets of the farmers.
The government has made it clear that this time some new rules have been implemented and if the prescribed conditions are not met then the next installment of ₹ 2000 can be withheld. In such a situation, it has become necessary for every eligible farmer to complete all the necessary procedures on time, so that there is no problem of any kind.
How much has been received so far under PM Kisan Yojana?
Under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, financial assistance of ₹ 6000 is given every year to eligible farmers. This amount is sent directly to the bank accounts of the farmers in three equal installments. Till now 21 installments of this scheme have been released and crores of farmers have taken advantage of it.
The previous i.e. 21st installment was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on 19 November. During this period, an amount of more than ₹ 18,000 crore was transferred to the accounts of about 9 crore farmers through DBT.
When can the 22nd installment come?
According to media reports, the 22nd installment of PM Kisan can be released around February or March 2026. However, no official date has been announced yet by the government. Farmers are being advised to keep checking the updates from time to time by visiting the official website of PM Kisan.
What rules have changed this time?
This time the biggest change has been made regarding Farmer ID. Now just having e-KYC will not be enough. The government has made it clear that the next installment of farmers whose Unique Farmer ID has not been created can be withheld, even if their e-KYC is not complete.
Farmer ID is a kind of digital identity, which is linked to the farmer’s land, crop and other important information. Its objective is to ensure that only genuine and eligible farmers get the benefits of the scheme.
e-KYC and bank details are also necessary
Along with Farmer ID, e-KYC also remains mandatory. Farmers can complete e-KYC online by visiting PM Kisan Portal, can get it done through biometrics at CSC center or can also complete it through face authentication through mobile app.
Apart from this, any discrepancy in the information related to bank account and Aadhaar, wrong spelling of name, closure of account or non-updation of land records can also become a major reason for the installment getting stuck.
What to do if the installment gets stuck?
If your installment of ₹ 2000 is pending or there is any problem in the status, then farmers can contact their nearest CSC center, bank or agriculture department. Apart from this, help can also be taken on PM Kisan helpline number 1800-115-526 and 011-23381092.
By completing all the necessary formalities in time, the next installment will be transferred directly into your account without any interruption.
