Big update! Ola Electric’s Marketing and Tech chiefs resign effective immediately

New Delhi: E two-wheeler maker Ola Electric announced the exit of its Chief Marketing Officer Anshul Khandelwal and Chief Technology and Product Officer Suvonil Chatterjee effective immediately. While Khandelwal has been with Ola since 2021, Chatterjee has been with the group since 2017.

Chatterjee joined Ola from Unacademy in 2017. He rose from the post of head of design to chief product officer and then chief technology and product officer at Ola before being named chief product officer at Ola Electric in 2021. He rose to the post of CTPO at Ola Electric in 2022.

Khandelwal joined Ola in 2019 as head of marketing and category at Ola Foos before being promoted to head of global marketing at Ola. He eventually became the chief marketing and revenue officer at Ola before taking the same position at Ola Electric in 2022.

Why did Ola C-suite executives quit

While Khandelwal thanked the mobility company for receiving opoortunities to “contribute to Ola’s inspiring vision,” Chatterjee thanked everyone at Ola for “their support and love”. He also wished OLA CEO “Bhavish (Agarwal) and the entire Ola family the very best.” The two executives resigned immediately citing personal reasons.

Ola Electric’s shares were down 3.68 per cent to Rs 90.09 apiece on Friday. The company’s shares hit a high of Rs 94.13 apiece and a low of Rs 88.32 apiece during the day’s trade. As of Friday, Ola Electric’s market cap stood at Rs 39,737.17 crore. The stock hit an upper price band of RS 108.10 apiece and a lower price band of Rs 72.08 apiece, according to BSE data.

The company’s shares were down over 8 per cent in the past 5 days, but up per cent in the past month. Over the past 6 months, the company;s share price was down 2.43 per cent.
