Big update on Bihar Chief Minister Women Employment Scheme, women will have to fulfill these conditions to get assistance amount of Rs 2 lakh

Women who want to get assistance amount of Rs 2 lakh under Bihar Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana will now have to fulfill several conditions. This amount will not be given in lump sum but in four separate installments. The Rural Development Department has prepared a detailed action plan in this regard and has sent guidelines to all the districts.

This scheme was launched during the elections, under which 1.5 crore women were given Rs 10,000 each and it was said that after starting employment, these women would be given a lump sum assistance of Rs 2 lakh. But now the government has made it clear that this amount will be given in installments only and many conditions will also apply for it.

Assistance amount will be given in four installments

In the first phase of the scheme, an assistance amount of Rs 10,000 has been provided to women. The employment started using this amount will be assessed at the village level. After this, investigation will be done by the district level committee and then the state level committee will recommend it. The next installment will be released only after getting approval from all levels.

There is a provision to give Rs 20 thousand to women as the next installment. For this, the beneficiary woman herself will have to contribute Rs 5,000. Besides, it will also be mandatory for the woman to submit an affidavit, in which it will be ensured that she will use the amount for self-employment or business expansion.

Till now 1.56 crore women have received initial amount

Under this scheme, till now 1.56 crore women have been provided initial assistance of Rs 10,000. As per the standard operating procedure of the scheme, a time frame of six months was fixed for releasing the next installment. In this sequence, today itself the Chief Minister has provided an initial amount of Rs 10,000 each to 25 lakh women.

Now the selection process for giving the second phase of assistance has been started. To get the assistance, women will have to follow some necessary conditions, which have been made mandatory by the department.

These are the necessary conditions

Women will have to participate regularly in self-help group meetings. It will be mandatory to contribute Rs 10 to the group every week. Saving rules have to be followed and a clear business plan has to be prepared. Apart from this, it will also be necessary to participate in training programs.

Along with this, women will have to keep a complete account of their income and expenditure and make regular savings even if a small amount every month. The next installment will be released to women only after fulfilling all these conditions.

Opposition is alleging

The opposition of Bihar is blaming the government regarding this scheme. The opposition says that votes were bought by giving easy money at the time of elections and now conditions are being imposed after the elections. However, the government says that these guidelines have been issued to run the scheme in a systematic manner so that the beneficiary women can actually get employment opportunities.
