Big update on gas cylinder! Modi government gave 5 such good news that you will be shocked
New Delhi: The Central Government has now put an end to the rumors going on in the social media and market regarding the supply of LPG for the last few days. Giving great assurance to the countrymen, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has made it clear that no matter what the current situation in the world is, there will be no reduction in the supply of LPG in India. The government has said that there is no need for the common people to panic as the gas quota is completely safe.
Cylinder booking and delivery created a new record
According to the latest data released by the government, the gas supply chain is working at full speed. Within just one day (Saturday), about 47.7 lakh LPG cylinders were booked across the country. The most reassuring thing is that during this period, successful delivery of about 47 lakh cylinders was also done. These figures are testifying that no matter what the demand is, the government is fully prepared to meet it.
‘Great treasure’ of gas is coming via sea
To further strengthen the availability of LPG, the government has given a big update. On May 13, a huge ship carrying more than 46,000 metric tons of LPG is going to reach Visakhapatnam port. After the arrival of this big shipment, there will be a huge increase in the gas reserves of the country, which will eliminate the possibility of any kind of shortage in future.
Tension in the world, but supply in India is full
Despite the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and Gulf countries, the Government of India has ensured 100 percent supply of LPG, PNG and CNG domestically. The Ministry of External Affairs is constantly monitoring the international situation so that there is no hindrance in imports. The government says that they have also prepared alternative arrangements so that the cooking stove of the common man is not affected.
Silver for the poor from small cylinders
The government is now running a special campaign across the country to promote small 5 kg LPG cylinders. More than 10 thousand awareness camps have been organized since April 2026. About 1.75 lakh small cylinders have been sold through these camps. This initiative is proving to be a boon for those who cannot buy a big cylinder at once or who need less gas.
Black marketers are in trouble now
Along with keeping the supply normal, the government has also tightened the noose on those who hoard or black market gas. The government has given a clear warning that such actions will not be tolerated. Recently, raids were conducted at more than 1900 locations across the country, in which heavy fines were imposed on 349 distributors and 74 distributors who violated the rules were suspended.
