Big update regarding Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2025 has come out! Know when the exam will be held?
Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2025 can be conducted on January 17 and 18. Let us tell you that this examination is conducted by the Haryana School Education Board. A proposal regarding this has been sent by the board to the Directorate of School Education. Board Chairman Professor Dr. Pawan Kumar has informed that the board is fully prepared to conduct the examination. He said that there are orders from the court to conduct HTET examination every year, but due to delay in this examination in the year 2024, the HTET examination has been delayed in the year 2025 also.
Actually, Haryana School Education Board has sent a proposal to the Directorate seeking approval to conduct HTET on 17 and 18 January. If approval is received from the Directorate, then final preparations for this examination will also be started. Let us tell you that the 10th and 12th examinations of Haryana Board will be held in the month of February, hence HTET examination can be conducted before that.
When was the HTET exam of the year 2024 conducted?
Please note that the HTET exam of the year 2024 was held on 30th and 31st July. In this, 1 lakh 20 thousand 943 candidates had applied for PGT Level-3, whereas only 1 thousand 559 candidates passed. In the year 2024, 2 lakh 17 thousand candidates had applied for TGT Level-2 and only 1 lakh 67 thousand candidates appeared for the exam. But the HTET exam of the year 2025 has not been conducted yet. Regarding this, Board Chairman Professor Dr. Pawan Kumar says that due to delay in the state examination in 2024, HTET of 2025 has also been delayed.
How was the result of the last exam?
If we look at last year’s HTET exam, 82 thousand 917 candidates had applied for PRT Level-1, whereas only 66 thousand candidates had appeared for the exam. Please note that in the year 2024, a total of more than 3 lakh candidates had appeared for the HTET exam. If we look at the rules, to pass this examination, general category candidates have to score 90 marks out of 150, while SC category candidates are required to score 82 marks out of 150. However, after the release of the result of HTET exam for the year 2024, only 47 thousand candidates out of more than 3 lakh candidates were able to pass.
