The transaction was reportedly registered on September 16, 2024, with a stamp duty of ₹36.6 lakh and registration of ₹30,000. The report states that, “Munawar's new house has a built-up area of ​​1,767 sq ft and has three parking lots”. Faruqui's new house is located in Lodha Aura, an under-construction project by Macrotech Developers Limited, also known as Lodha. The 40-storey tower has luxurious 3 BHK and 4 BHK apartments.

The suspects revealed that they were instructed to inspect the hotel where the comedian was staying for a targeted killing. Soon after, a team of Delhi Police conducted a search operation at the IGI Indoor Stadium and Munawar's room. He was then shifted to Mumbai for his safety.
