According to the document seen by Square Yards, the plush building that Munawar Faruqui has bought is in Lodha Aura. It is in New Cuffe Parade in Wadala and was bought for ₹6.09 crore.

The transaction was reportedly registered on September 16, 2024, with a stamp duty of ₹36.6 lakh and registration of ₹30,000. The report states that, “Munawar's new house has a built-up area of ​​1,767 sq ft and has three parking lots”. Faruqui's new house is located in Lodha Aura, an under-construction project by Macrotech Developers Limited, also known as Lodha. The 40-storey tower has luxurious 3 BHK and 4 BHK apartments.

According to several media reports, the Delhi Police came to know about the potential threat when they were questioning suspects of another case in Delhi. The suspects revealed that they were instructed to inspect the hotel where the comedian was staying for a targeted killing. Soon after, a team of Delhi Police conducted a search operation at the IGI Indoor Stadium and Munawar's room. He was then shifted to Mumbai for his safety.
